Retreat to The Shire
A Good Start, But Could Do Better.
The Shire Retreat had been to an agency to deliver their first site, but it soon became clear it needed more work and this time it would have to be perfect!
Off the ground but not flying very high.
After living with their recently delivered site (built by another design agency) for a short while it was clear that site, although visually on brand needed more work.
The pages looked good on first glance but under the skin they were lacking in more than a few places. Meta descriptions missing, keyword optimisation poor, huge image files making page loads slow and poorly optimised animations were throttling the display performance in browser. Not good at all.
That’s where Pixel inc comes in. We painstakingly rebuilt the existing pages on a completely new web platform from the ground up. Pixel by pixel, this was done so that the new site would look just like the original. Then, we recreated all the animated and interactive sections of the site but now using cutting-edge tools so that they no longer throttled the browser and displayed across all modern devices effortlessly.
Once this was done and we had proved we could deliver everything they had been previously promised Pixel inc were tasked with building out the site expanding it with more pages and content, incorporating new designs and layouts that fitted perfectly with the brands very concise aesthetic.
